In this Torah portion, Va'era (I appeared) Sh'mot / Exodus 6:2 to 9:35 recorded on 01-01-2011, presented by Pinchas. In this portion, Yah confirms to Moshe His intention to give the Israelites their inheritance in the Promised Land; a genealogy of the tribes of Re'uven, Shimon and Levi is given (thus giving us background on Moshe and Aharon); Moshe's staff turns into a snake; he turns the river and all water in Egypt to blood; frogs invade all homes in Egypt; frogs died and were gathered into heaps, land stinks because of them; dust is turned to lice; the land of Goshen is set apart so that the plagues will not affect the Israelites; Egyptian livestock dies; boils appear on all Egyptians; a hailstorm kills remaining Egyptian livestock and crops; Pharaoh admits guilt and asks for the hail to stop; Moshe prays and Yah accedes and yet Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he didn't let the Israelites go.
