Mel Lastman Square was the venue for Canada's 144th birthday celebration on July 1, 2011 with musical performances by Canadian bands. The square was packed with thousands of viewers who enjoyed a dazzling display of fireworks choreographed to music.
The square is more intimate than other locations and offers a unique viewing experience. You can feel and hear the sizzle and boom of the pyrotechnics as the crowd showed their appreciation. The building is the North York Civic Centre. Enjoy.
