My Grandfather lives at the Yarborough-O'Neil Villa Assisted Living Center. He is nearly blind, but enjoys his time there. The people living there are like you and I, but many have no family and are often alone on Holidays.
This year, budget cuts have forced the home to forgo a Christmas dinner and other related activities for the residence. My parents found out about this on Dec. 14th, 2008 and began contacting friends, family and anyone who would listen. From the 14th to the 18th they had received enough support to not only give them the Christmas dinner they deserve, but also musical performances from Blue Grass bands, several festive dinners and gifts for all of the residents. The accomplishments gained the interest of local newspapers and many other organizations, public and private.
My Brother, Brandon, and I felt compelled to video tape the events and afterward I thought it would be a good idea to interview my Father, to give the tape some commentary and tell the story.
Maybe this video will help facilitate others to do something positive for their communities.

Forgive the occasional "Popping" in the background audio. I tracked the Bluegrass bands performance without monitoring and did not realize my buffering settings were too low.
