In the final chapter of the Hobohemia series, four explorers drive over 2000 miles to Poland to locate dozens of derelict mines, bunkers, factories and decommissioned Soviet Military bases, sleeping in ruins.
At the end of the trip, exhausted and weary, we rigged up ropes to an old fence and abseiled into the never-completed Antwerp Metro system where we got trapped by torrential rain. The mood of the journey, which lasted for 7 days, became increasingly raw and what I returned with, ethnographically, looks like shredded evidence.
Shot entirely on a Nikon D90 DSLR with a Nikor 18-200 lens and a GoPro HD Headcam.
