Garter snake
A garter snake. Successfully recording this scene made my day. Recorded in northern Eugene, Oregon.
This is surely my most-commented video. It was recorded using the video function of a $250 still digital camera, the Canon A610.
The snake was frozen with fear after I noticed it on the sidewalk. It went into the bark-o-mulch and I set the camera down as close as it would tolerate, about 3~4 inches away. I moved it even closer for the second shot, where it slithered off.

Like how Baker9 didn't know 'bout manners!
Although what I was really commenting on in this video is the contrast of the motion of the cars to their proximity to the snake in the frame. The blurriness (caused by the depth of field) wasn't actually what caught my attention, making baker9's rude comment even more irrelevant than it would have been.
Lovin' the enthusiasm, buddy.
Also, Eugene represent!
Of course, I'm still trying to see his feet move!
Maybe i watch to much TV or something but i was singing the national geographic song the whole time.
