I was testing a hidden feature (hack) of my Panisonic HVX which allows 2 frames/second, with the shutter fully open. It's not true time-lapse in the conventional sense, but it gives a similar effect. It's especially idea for low light conditions.

    Ah ok i see you did find the hack. How come the smears aren't working?

    Dalas' looks a lot better because he had the shutter open 350 degrees. I'm guessing I had mine around 180 (or less). I took this footage the same day DVXusers posted the hack, so I was too excited to realize that I'd missed one of the settings. I'll try to take some more footage again, just to see if I can get it right.

    Thanks for the heads up! This is the first time I've really disected why my footage looks different, and I wouldn't have figured this out if you'd hadn't mentioned it.

    If you overlay that clip on top of itself, offset the footage by one or two frames, then set the top one's blend mode to add or overlay, you'll have cool streaks.
