The lovely thing about Infini-D was that it let designers do 3D without having to become full time 3D engineers like certain modellers and their communities took pride in professing.
It had a lovely delicate touch that made even Strata feel hairy. And now it has a slight aroma of 'retro'.
Did you get a high resolution render? (I remember waiting a weekend for a single frame anti-aliased 640x480 raytrace).
