On the night of 24th June something extraordinary happened in Warsaw.
Feeling bored and lonely in the snobby Philharmonia, WA Mozart decided to take to the streets. The people he met there were not his usual audience: some anxious to get home from their offices or the shops. Some sitting in cafes, passing the time of day. Whatever they were doing, for a moment they paused, put on wireless headphones and listened to his piece in B-Major, performed by a string quartet.
At the same time, somewhere else in the city, salsa dancers took over. They danced, where usually nobody dances - in the old, historic marketplace. In the 1920s, it used to be a centre of cultural life . Nowadays, it isn't...
