In this video, retired Army general Jovito Palparan Jr. denies any involvement in the disappearance of Karen Empeno and Sherlyn Cadapan and farmer Manuel Merino. He admits, however, that the military, under his command, created a task force to run after the communists in the area where the three were forcibly taken by armed men on June 26, 2006. Palparan also says that the military considered the two students as New People's Army (NPA) guerrillas.
