Electric Soft Parade have been at the forefront of Brighton’s music scene for many years in many different guises. Having recently returned from a 2 year hiatus, the guys are back on the Brighton gig circuit again, still pushing the creative boundaries of their own brand of psychedelic pop. With brothers Alex and Thomas White at it’s core, ESP have recently gone back to the studio to record and produce their next album alongside a monthly residency at The Prince Albert in Brighton.
Matt was privileged to direct and create the video for one of Thomas’ solo singles in late 2010, “Accidentally Like A Martyr” which was featured as Video of the Week on Drowned In Sound and has since kept in regular touch with Tom.

Back to the session, and we met up with the lads on a scorching hot day on Brighton Beach and spent many an hour chatting over more than a few drinks! They gave us a chilled out, stripped back version of “Sleep Alone” from their Mercury Music Prize nominated 2002 debut “Holes in the Wall”. Perfect for a lazy day on the beach!
With a couple of festival appearances coming up and the new album due out late 2011/ early 2012, keep an eye out for these guys coming to a venue near you soon.
