27 Florida Recumbent Riders gathered in Cocoa, FL to "Ride the River." This is a 28mi. ride along the Indian River Lagoon, part of the intracoastal waterway. Today is July 9th, one day after the Atlantis, our last shuttle to fly, blasted off from Kennedy Space Center. The riders today looked across the lagoon as we rode along and saw the Vehicle Assembly Building where all the shuttles were housed before they made that 4mi. trek out to the launch pad. As I was putting together the video many thoughts flooded my mind about our shuttle and our astronauts. As a result Flying For Me became the theme.
