The pear tree we harvested yesterday (1 hour, 567 pounds for those in need) is completely harvested, and the sidewalk and surrounding area is compeltewly clear. Cities with fruit tree gleaning projects do not have messes, bugs, critters, and so on, which are common objections to planting fruit trees in public spaces. These objections are surmountable, and smart cities are doing this.
