great editing. love when some of the split frames fill up.

To sync with the music did you go strictly by seeing the wave lengths in the sound and marking accordingly? I ask this because every time I try to do that some downbeats are insanely hard to find and I can only zoom in so much onto the track

Awesome!, i loved the distorted video part at 0:55.

By the way, what's the name of the track, looked for it on beatport and i couldn't find it, i have three of their albums and i hadn't hear of this track until now.

    Ah never mind... hehe.

love it! especially the bamboo part. overall found the video to be an interesting statement/experiment on the way our visual system can so rapidly change attention and focus.

what modeselektor track is that you used??

dope!!! I might have to spin off this idea with one of my pro drift videos sometime this year. Did you by chance use crumble pops spilt frame plug in or did you do each spilt frame yourself? Great work! I know getting the timing for everything must have a pain.
  • POWSKII plus 1 year ago
thanks !! no plug in... it's handmade !
  • Robert Strohmeyer 1 year ago
wow even more respect man!! All that key framing takes time. props.

    Hey Powskii,

I enjoyed your short film of Tokyo having been there myself i can relate to your images. Your interpretation of Modesekta's song in your editing and simple effective animations was on point. Also having each split screen represent a sound in the soung was awesome. Great editing and i look forward to viewing more of your work.

Have just watched 6-7th time. Each time , my eye becomes quicker and I see more. The structure begins to emerge. There is much for me to learn here...I will be back. This is helping me with the problem of digital photography: how do you present so much visual data?

Definitely says something about how much input we gather in our day-to-day living in big cities. I loved the sharp transition between rapid, pulsating city sequence into the calm and collected nature sequence. Beautiful stuff.

I'm pretty jealous, overall. I particularly liked the segment with the vertical sections of video. The only down side, for me, was the end. It felt like the overlaying of the video footage of the feather in the grass on the light from the treetops was separate from the rest of the video. I was loving every bit of it until the end section.
  • POWSKII plus 1 year ago
Maybe you should watch it a second time :)
