have you ever felt like getting a bunch of your friends together and taking over a subway car to turn it into a drawing room for as long as the ride lasts? yea we felt the same way so let’s do it this SUNDAY, JULY 17th at 3PM in NYC.
we are going to meet at Union Square Park, right under the Washington statue, next to all the skaters and kids playing guitar. Then we are going to ride the subway all the way to Coney Island! During the ride we want to draw and doodle, work on your own stuff or use the riders as models, either way would be cool. We plan on also handing out the drawings to the random, jaded New Yorkers that will hop in and out of the car; free open art for the transit system AND the ride is air-conditioned!
a metrocard, a sketchbook or some paper, markers, pens, pencils, anything you can draw with and that is easy to carry. also some tape if you have any, and bring some signs we can tape to the windows of the train - have fun with it.
