All 11 images of the Adventure Series are deconstructed.
I had to flatten a lot of the layers, but at least you can get an idea of what goes into each image.
Enjoy!

I could watch this over and over. Love exploring the layers of the photographs!

  • This is amazing Dave, thanks for sharing. Using after effects makes it so much more interesting than the typical 2D approach to photo deconstructions.

Killer man! So that's all there is to the 'Dave Hill Look,' eh? Just have to be a master compositor on top of being a fantastic photog and producer. Vision helps. There may be some late hours involved as well...

Thanks for sharing, I think you need to create a motion comic now.

You are an inspiration! Conceiving an idea and then making it all happen through hard work, digilence, personal stock and masterful pre & post production techniques. Thank you for sharing. The Dec/Jan 2011 After Capture magazine cover was my first introduction to you. I'll never complain about a mere 20 layers again. Oh, I was also thinking, do you run out of ideas for the name of each and every layer. That has to be a whole other "behind-the-scenes vid unto itself!

I don't understand. Is your work 2D or 3D? Is this just a 3D representation of photoshop layers or do you put 2D imgs on 3D geometry?
