72. DEMO/Hack Blackboard CourseSites as IMS Basic LTI …
7 months ago
Blackboard Learn 9.1 SP4 and later supports IMS Basic LTI Consumer so you can plug IMS BLTI Compliant tools into Blackboard.

This was an experiment to go the *opposite* direction and make Blackboard's CourseSites into an IMS Basic LTI Provider.

The interesting use case is to allow a teacher to teach using more than one LMS, or perhaps a way to let one course coming from Moodle, another course coming from Sakai, and even another course coming form Blackboard to share a single course hosted on CourseSites.

I (Chuck) think this model has a lot of potential as schools might want to give faculty more than one choice when it comes to the LMS they have on their campus.

This is just a quick test coded up by John Fontaine and myself over a few hours to see what we could make work in a Building Block and is not any kind of product plan on the part of Blackboard. We just wanted to try to see if it worked. This is not a roadmap or any kind of product plan. THIS IS JUST A DEMO/HACK!
