Bloomingdales, Chestnut Hill, MA, hosted a launch party for the debut issue of Southern New England Living. Vendors donated food, photography, music and other services to the evening, which also served as a fund-raiser for the Ellie Fund.
The Ellie Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that fights breast cancer and helps patients' families by providing transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries, and nutritious prepared/delivered meals free of charge to hundreds of women and family members across Massachusetts each year.
Bloomie's was closed to the public as guests ate, mingled and shopped with 10% of all sales going to the Ellie Fund.
Senator Scott Brown's wife, and former Boston newscaster, Gail Huff, who was featured on the first cover of the publication, was a guest presenter at the event which also raffled off an original painting and many other items.
