My BF says you can tell the drummer is left-handed when the Charleston is on his right. (if I got it right :D)

Nor do I, but I assume she's referring to the high-hat.

I made the assumption based on the fact that he's hitting the high-hat with his left hand (usually the dominant hand). And, as a result, the orientation of the drums are mirrored to that of most drum sets.

But this assumption could be wrong, considering if a right-handed person were to learn an instrument playing backwards it would feel natural, being the only way you'd know.

I think I'll need to track Anthony at the next local show and get the lowdown on this...fun conversation piece though! :-)

That's right Dunno, the "Charleston" is the hi-hat. Right handed drummers hit the pedal with their left foot, and vice versa for left-handed drummers.

Cool! Me too. Of course I'd like to do one for every one of their songs. Just haven't found the right subject matter for it yet. Maybe you do one and I'll do one as well. Could be fun to see how they turn out!
