    Mr Eirik...
This is just Great ! When I watched this I was ready to ask you how you managed to have photos aligned like this !! This is perfect !

Then, I read your blog... Thanks so much for your tips about this and the HDR... I used to create this kind of photo with photoshop and 2 pictures, but I will try your method, lot of time gained for sure !

Concerning this kind of time lapse, I was interested about this, and with this alignment tips that would be possible...

I hope we can discuss about this one day.

Thanks so much Eirik, take care and keep on going with such perfect moments and landscapes to put on video.

Love it. As a suggestion, it might be nice to have a line on top of the screen showing the passage of time, with markings for each month. It could also mess up the purity of the composition. Thanks for posting. I'll check out your blog.

Amazing work, Eirik! And thanks so much for being so helpful on teaching people about the technique. :-) I was wondering how you did this... if you dedicated a camera for this, affixed to a window sill, taking shots every week or so. I'm impressed that you hand positioned your camera for each shot, then used Photoshop to align the images. A few frames showed a shift... not too bad, just slightly. I'm wondering if you might be able to create a box frame to ensure a more accurate positioning, helping Photoshop to achieve a more perfect alignment. In any case, it does give some character to the impression. I especially enjoyed seeing the pumpkin appear and then fade. :-) Looking forward to seeing your next experiment!

I really enjoyed that, but you made my think that another thing you could've done was to track the sun across the sky so it also looked like it all happened in one day. There's a challenge for you. Great job though and a beautiful place.
  • Eirik Solheim plus 11 months ago
Good idea. See the sun get up to a winter landscape, let it move over spring, summer and autumn and then set in a winter landscape...

Cool! Shows how fast life goes by and how important it is to make it worth the Creators gift. I've been wanting to try a night shot with stars to get the earth movement effect. I figure I will stop the camera all the way down and but it on bulb on my sticks and see what happens. 14mp digital I guess I can erase if it doesn't work.

This vimeo blends perfectly with the song "Reverse the Charges" by War on Drugs. I thought it was part of the piece, until i realized it was playing on my itunes. Try it, it's really quite amazing.
