Housing Design Awards Winner 2011

Living Projects have recently completed a series of films celebrating winning schemes of the Housing Design Awards 2011. Our approach was to focus on the opinions of communities and residents, while getting the architects, planners and developers involved to tell the story of how each scheme was delivered.

Arundel Square is an astonishing story: An 18 year journey to deliver high quality homes and a new public green space for Islington. What was originally a 3-sided square with a railway and derelict sidings along its fourth edge, has been transformed with a platform covering the railway into a new landscaped London square, framed by a bold and positive new housing elevation.
