This year marks the centennial of legendary Southern writer Tennessee Williams (born in Columbus, Mississippi on March 26, 1911), so to celebrate, The Loft Cinema is throwing a month-long cinematic party we're calling SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT, featuring some of the sexiest, steamiest and most scandalous films based on the famous playwright’s work, including BABY DOLL, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.

Every Thursday night in August, Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman and other sizzling stars will heat up The Loft's big screen while you enjoy our free prize raffles and cool Mint Julep drink specials from the comfort of your very own white wooden porch swing .... er, we mean ... movie seat.

It's going to be a long, hot summer, so let Tennessee Williams show you how to blow off some steam, Southern Gothic style. It might get so hot you'll find yourself screaming "Stelllllaaaaa!"

All films start at 7:00pm • Regular Admission Prices
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE - Thursday, August 4th
BABY DOLL - August 11th
CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF - August 17th
THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA - August 25th
