Women's Link presents its new video, "Universal Jurisdiction: Rape as Torture," a short documentary about the Atenco Case, where over 200 people were detained by Mexican police forces. Among them was Cristina Valls, a Spanish citizen who, like the other detained women, was subjected to rape and other forms of torture by Mexican authorities. On January 25, 2008, Women's Link filed a criminal complaint against Mexican authorities before Spain’s National Court (Audiencia Nacional) under the principle of universal justice.
