Animal Bibles - Seaberg Acrobatic Poetry 2007
1 year ago
Steve Seaberg, Mark Wolfe abd Ashkey Winnig read and perform Ronnog Seaberg's poem Animal Bibles, Eyedrum Gallery 2007.
ANIMAL BIBLES
Read to me from the bible
of the ox and the cow
tied to their yoke or stall.
Butchers and cooks
read out loud.
And all you little angels
at the chicken plants
read about the martyrs and the saints.
The bibles are growing on trees.
Save the pages!
Read to me.
Mother and father Crow!
Where will you go
when the final trumpets blow?
We will look for flesh
and jump in the snow!
Never a raven
coyote or fish
failed.

Brenda Clews 4 months agoAcrobatic poetry would be stunning enough, the training, balance, timing, strength, grace, trust and holding the text and reading, all this would definitely make for the *most incredible poetry readings ever.* While the body is beautiful, and your athletic bodies are superb sculptures just as they are, your nudity as you perform their acrobatic poetry performance adds a purity.
