This visual and sonic installation uses a real time data flow translating each of the Staubli industrial robots’ 6 joints position in space into a sonic experience. The synchronization of robotic movement is materialized through the sonic overlay, where speed, acceleration and rotation of the robots change one’s spatial perception within the robotic lab.
In the demonstration we can see a Maya animation sending the data real-time via Udp protocol to Max/msp. Sound frequencies are assigned to the position data, creating a soundtrack.
