Our DisciplesNet Worship #39 offers a special gift in Minister Blanche Edwards' sharing of the story of a young girl who grew up struggling against the life challenges of homelessness. As you hear the story unfold, we pray that you will gain strength and inspiration in finding God's leading for you in the places in your own life you may feel homeless, lost, or needing direction. Blanche credits Pastor Drane of Light of the World Christian Church, Indianapolis for the catch-phrase reminding us that "God is not done doing."
Our DisciplesNet messages are delivered specifically for our regulars, as Blanche's has been. However, our music in this video was recorded from the nearly 6000 people worshiping together at the Disciples' General Assembly in Nashville, Tennessee, USA the week of July 9-12, 2011. We hope it is meaningful to get to join in and sing along in worship and praise of familiar hymns.
One more blessing was from the Jorge Ibarra band, who traveled to Nashville all the way from Juarez, Mexico to bring the music for the New Church event leading up to the assembly. At the end of a long day, these young men still came together to give us the gift of "Jesus Loves Me" sung in Spanish (Cristo me ama).
Our prayer is that you will be blessed by joining with us in this worship.
