Corporal Kelvin Roberts from Wrexham is a soldier with 3 Battalion Royal Welsh but is currently attached to 3 Battalion Royal Anglian. For 6 months he and others from the Battalion are serving with the United Nations in the divided capital city of Nicosia in Cyprus.

As part of his role there he regularly patrols the Buffer Zone - An area stretching more than 112 miles across the Mediterranean island that partitions the island and has been in place since 1974 and the invasion of the island by Turkish forces in response to a Greek Cypriot coup keeping the opposing forces apart.

His 'patch' is an area within the Capital itself and gives a glimpse of a life that seems suspended in time following the intervention.
