See all Show me
On November 2nd, 2008, the Avett Brothers, those venerable sons of NC, performed for a full house at Memorial Hall on UNC Chapel Hill campus. The crowd was eager to hear whatever the band brought forth, songs old and new. Here, Seth Avett performs "The Ballad of Love and Hate" from their 2007 release, Emotionalism. Cirque Productions and friends were on hand to shoot the entire show using five HD cameras. We grabbed a stereo board mix on one camera and set up a small hard drive recorder with some room mics on the balcony, and mixed the two in post for the audio.

Camera Operators: Peter Bell, Brian Burnham, Daniel Pierce, Michael Cusack O'Connell, Leon Godwin. Edited by Leon Godwin.
