Curiosity questions: 1. What type of camera(s) are you using? 2. Did you do anything to protect the camera while you were shooting the shaper? A little worried about getting fine dust into my camera.
This is a trailer that had a pile of different cameras in use - all of them Sony HDV - an HC1, HC3 and a V1U (which is the primary camera).
you are so RIGHT about the footage of the shaper, that was a high risk move and I did it with the V1U - and I paid for it dearly -- fiberglass dust got into the image sensor and $500 later, the camera was cleaned out. I had the camera in a kata rain jacket for the shoot, but was not enough to protect against the super fine dust. Next time, i will go at it with a water housing.
