An overview of the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs in Trivandrum, Kerala.
Founded by Sabriye Tenberken and partner Paul Kronenberg, the IISE selects participants from all over the world for this intensive training programme.
50% of the participants (2011) are blind, and all of them have overcome extreme adversities in their lives, being from war-torn countries and/or directly affected by social problems and disability.
The IISE trains and supports these impressive individuals in realising their dreams to create social change, in order to improve their communities by setting up their own social development projects, thus contributing to making the world a better place.
