Lathkill Dale has the reputation of being one of the best spots in the UK to see Dippers. A small river running through a deep, wooded ravine. You can get close the birds which have had to develop some degree of habituation to the many walkers, but the light is a problem due to the steep sides and tree canopy. Sadly some idiots caused at least one nest to be abandoned this year by trying to get too close. No picture is worth that.
