1. Mad As Hell! Kinetic Typography
450 words individually synced and animated to the famous monologue from the 1976 movie "The Network". This took about 18 hours over the course of 3 days to make.

Update: Hey I've noticed how many people are enjoying the video, I really like the comments, keep 'em coming! As for how it was done, I used Adobe Illustrator to design everything then animated it all in After Effects. I really never planned on sharing it, it was just something to pass the time over thanksgiving break last year.

Thanks, enjoy!

I love me some kinetic typography. this was great. The drop shadows and animation really do well to being it out of the 2D world.

I like it very much Howard Beals speech from"Network "written by (sp)Paddy Chayefsky which I think should be credited within your good work.

  • Like a few others, I joined Vimeo to make this comment. I'd love to know where you got the music from, seeing as it lines up so well with the voices and I didn't think it was in the original movie?

I'm mad as hell you didn't credit the filmmakers of NETWORK without whose amazing work you would have nothing!

Created by Aaron Leming? How about created by Paddy Chayefsky and Sydney Lumet and Peter Finch. Don't give yourself a single "created by" credit when all you did was adapt someone else's work.

Your interpretation has technical and artistic merit, but I just can't get past your end credit.

You would do well to remove and repost this piece giving proper credit and thanks to the people who made the great art on which you put your own little spin.

I want to point out, as it was just asked of me, "I take it that the caption was not enough for you? '450 words...famous monologue from the 1976 movie 'The Network.' [sic]'"

I was originally sent this as an embedded video that didn't have the caption. Credit should be included in the video to avoid just this sort of problem.

And the film is called NETWORK, not THE NETWORK.
