On July 7, John Legend visited the International Rescue Committee's Refugee Youth Summer Academy in New York, where newly arrived refugee kids and teens are learning to adjust to life and school in the United States. The international recording artist and nine-time Grammy winner is also an IRC Voice, working to raise awareness of the humanitarian needs of refugees. He believes that every child deserves a high quality education and commits much of his time to making sure as many children as possible have the chance to thrive in school.
