While in Voss, Norway last summer ('07) I was able to grab a 'press' seat on a helicopter ride for a small, but well worth it, fee. We were dropped off at the top of an extremely high cliff where the base jumpers launched from. It was definitely a bit sketch and nerve racking to be so close to the edge without a chute (or being tied in), but had to be done to get some good footage. It was fun to shoot but the ride back down in the helicopter was way more crazy.
