A quick experiment based on the function that Stefan Goodchild left on his Disco Maths picture on Flickr ( tinyurl.com/discomaths ).
I modified the function somewhat to incorporate cycling, and then generated a wireframe mesh made with lines to visualise it. The colours are generated with a different function.
