HDR Time Lapse of of ship leaving Tananger harbor. Manual paning and zooming.

This is the first time I`ve tried paning with time lapse. I realized that my 5 sek interval was to long because I had to move the camera to much to not let the ship get out of the frame.

Made from 107 HDR shots. Time lapse put together in Quick Time Pro with 24 fps.

great panning/tracking - but 1280 x 720 (HD) would be a much better format for your time lapse videos, and maybe a little sound too ;-)

I agreee. This is an "old" time lapse that I`ve made. At that time I didn`t even consider doing HD, but now all my timlapses are in HD.

Sound is my next step for improving my timelapses. After that, motorized paning!

I look forward to them :)

remember though, only one HD video is allowed in a seven day period until you have a 'plus' account - outside of America, we are 'all' still waiting for that option...

keep on posting my friend - your work is very good :)

I agree! For manual panning, that's pretty damn good - nice one mate!

yeah that is definitely cool manual panning... probably easier to do than a step motor as you followed it perfectly.

    Hah, clever panning job.

Did you make the HDR from singe RAW images or bracketed shots?

  • Per Erik Sviland plus 11 months ago
Thanks guys. The HDRs are made from 5 bracketed shots.

    Heisan!

Do you use some special kind of paning device/rotator to get the smooth paning?
  • Per Erik Sviland plus 10 months ago
Hey. The panning is done manually.
