Evil camera porn! Nobody needs a hundred dollar body cap. Nobody needs a Bugatti Veyron either, but there will always be a market for obsessive engineering overkill.

I can't wait for mine to arrive.

Proof that great marketing can make you want something you really don't need.

Regardless, its beautifully crafted. Now if you could make an HDMI cable clamp..
  • Rob Imbs plus 6 months ago
OMG I have to have it! ;)

...and agreed about the HDMI clamp.

This is very tempting and I don't need one. Have to keep reminding myself of that fact.
Too bad though the effort that went into making this could've been directed into making something that adds to camera functions or maybe if the cap itself had a double function where you can attach camera holster to it or something.

$100?! Are you kidding? LOL I'd like to have one but wouldn't budget for even $50.
  • LockCircle 6 months ago
$ 79,00 is the price! please check our website!
Not far from your $ 50,00!
We understand that the price is little high, but the LockCircle was designed on HDSLR cinematographers
    specifications.....to stay and work forever.
If you test one you can understand the real quality
of the bayonet mount and the manufacturing and maybe feel that $ 79,00 is the right price. So many great feedbacks from satisfied customers! Awaiting also your feedback one day!

How about you send me a black one for $40 and then I'll comment back with some feedback on the product ;)

I personally think that's the right entry price point for something like this IFFFF it's of "real quality" as you state. We own four 5D's & 7D's and I would have bought four units from you instantly if priced right.

I'm not trying to give you guys a hard time. I love that people come up with fun and sometimes necessary bells and whistles for DSLRs, it just would be nice to see things priced more reasonably.

If they're going to go all out, they should make it in brass.

    LockCircle,

Produce adapters of this precision for cameras like the Af100, FS100, GH2, PL mounts. Having purchased a few, they seem to have unwanted play in them. I'm loving your product, but it needs more function to justify.

it is very elegant yet steampunk looking...and very AWESOME...but it fits with the overpricing of all things HDSLR accessory related...options are...bite the bullet...DIY...or wait on China...[going with 2 and 3]...for now

Haha. I know when I first looked at it, I thought "what is the point". But you know, this is more of a treat for a photographer. I love the engineering and as an engineering exercise I'm sure it was fun creating this. Well done.

You know that the next logical step for this though. You've got the body cap, but now you need the cap that goes on the back of the lense....and then after that.....lense caps. haha.

    It's a work of art!

actually you know what also be really cool? You've done a signature series for Planet5D. What about a custom option where customer supply vector based PDF logo/text for the engraving process, so that they could have their own brand of body and lense caps! How pro would that look! haha. That would be a great gift for friends too!
