Sister Corinne Florek, OP, an Adrian Dominican Sister has been working in the field of community economic development for over 31 years. Sister Corinne has long been investing the retirement savings of her fellow sisters in community development credit unions and under her leadership, the sister of Mercy were the very first investors in the Federations Community Development Investment program, back in the early 1980s.

Her keynote presentation during the Opening Ceremonies of the 37th Annual Conference on Serving the Underserved, held in Hollywood, CA on June 16, 2011, was moving and inspirational. A highlight was when she brought nearly 50 women religious to join her on stage to see the many credit unions their retirement savings have helped through Florek's investment leadership.

After her presentation, Federation President/CEO Cliff Rosenthal reads an emotional proclamation in honor of the critical investments from Adrian Dominicans and other religious orders, who supported the work of the Federation and CDCUs nationwide.
