Fourth international Meeting of Disabled Pilots, 17th to 24th of July 2011. For the fourth year, the aero club of Gruyère is organising a worldwide meeting of disabled pilots to share experience and to offer special training in mountain flying. Gruyère is the only airfield in Switzerland offering disabled people instruction in glider or power flight.
For this fourth edition, 40 glider and powered aircraft pilots and paragliders from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Canada, USA, Sweden, Poland, Scotland, England, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy have shared the pleasure of flying in this amazing region.
Brian Jones is the Honorary President of the event. He participated with Bertrand Piccard in the first non-stop balloon flight around the world and is the co-founder of the Winds of Hope Foundation. The godmother is Dorine Bourneton, Honorary President of the French Aero-Club’s disabled pilots association. Breitling is sponsoring this event.
A special thanks to Franziska for her amazing support all the week and for her great work for the interviews. Many thanks to my friends Daniel and Sarah, to Tahan and Yves, to all the team and to all our visitors.
