Very cool - I'm working on some monome-controlled visuals as well - hopefully it will be ready for a quick post soon :)

yeah, this is pretty much AMAZING. Is this hard to set up?
  •
  • t.gill 10 months ago
@chris hahn: everything is running within an mlrV insert and as such fits neatly into the small little box. set-up is equivalently simple as audio (if not easier).

thanks for the words brothers! <3

did you put the audio on the video, then splice it for sounds and perform the duo?
    ....i love it!

at the moment the audio and video are separate files and i just manipulate them together. just having 1 video file seemed to cause accuracy problems, and i want to stick to 96/24 audio files.
  • Momo the Monster plus 10 months ago
that's definitely what I found to be the case - I was doing some experiments a while back but found that my tracks actually sounded different depending on the latency of my machine. Much better to keep the audio going seamless and let the visuals lag a bit if they need to.

Plus, keeping them separate means you can switch the video and use the same audio, etc.
