Guest presenter: Marc Chun, Director of CLA Education, CAE (Collegiate Learning Assessment)
Effective education requires careful, intentional alignment between teaching, learning, and assessment, organized around student learning outcomes that matter. One response to disjunctures between these three is to align them in ways that mimic how the skills will eventually be used. Professional education often capitalizes on this alignment, but it can be done across undergraduate curriculum as well. Participants will be led through the basic process of task creation, based on active learning and constructivist principles.
