This video was shot during May, June, July 2011. It was an amazing year for BIG roosters. A couple roosters were close to the 80lb mark and a lot more roosters weighed around 50 to 70lbs. Not only big roosters were eating for three weeks, there were yellow fin tuna topping the scale at 300lbs +. One conventional guy I spoke to worked on one 300lb tuna for 5 hours. I had one person in my group hook and land a 50lb yellow fin tuna on a 9wt fly rod. I had a tuna on for a few moments that the captain estimated to be around 100lbs+. He spooled me without a thought of even stopping.
