There was a billboard on Broadway for months that advertised his new album that said "Featuring 'You Never Take Me Dancing.'" Having never heard the song, we found that it was fun to make up a song with those words instead. We sang the song in a nasal drawl and rhymed "dancin'" with "Ted Danson," it was all good fun. Then one day I realized that the phrase "You Never Take Me Dancing" fit in perfectly with the melody to this Privates song. If you sing those words along with the opening riff, you'll see what I mean.
