On 31 July the men of Balto descended on our small but fair town, making their way off the interstate to a small backyard instead of the usual bar. They were kind enough to play for us...
Rednecks and hippies alike peacefully converged and as we gathered under the Mimosa tree the butterflies claimed as their own. Jams were played and boots were stomped. New friendships were forged, acquaintances made, barbecue barbecued, and over 300 beers and 5 bottles of whiskey were consumed.
As they say in the Ozarks (and everywhere else in the world, for that matter), "A good time was had by all." It was the Folk Hive Backyard Sessions. You totally should have been there.
