The Banff Mountain Film World Tour showcases the efforts and talents of the world’s finest mountain filmmakers. Every year the Banff Centre in Canada receives hundreds of hopeful entries. These are narrowed down until only the very best films on Mountain Culture remain.

In 2006, Cape Union Mart first bought the Banff Mountain Film World Tour to South Africa, to Cape Town. 2007 saw Banff expand to Joburg and Pretoria.
