Pollination: it's vital to life on Earth, but largely unseen by the human eye. Filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg shows us the intricate world of pollen and pollinators with gorgeous high-speed images from his film "Wings of Life," inspired by the vanishing of one of nature's primary pollinators, the honeybee.

Beautiful, from my own observation I believe honey bees like positive energy, aura whatever you would like to call it. They sense something we do not, this is what keeps them in check, good resilience to disease and most importantly together as a community vimeo.com/22630651 my own observation :)

Ah yes the brilliant Louis Schwartzberg that gave us "America's Heart and Soul" and "Oceans of Air" to name a few. I'm definitely his biggest fan! Can't wait to see this one. Incredible!

Nature is autopoietic, but our education is allopoietic! When we will have more such insights, we will live love and freedom!

I hadn't realised that this HD original has been on Vimeo until just now, and thank you very much, because this is one of my top favourites of nature films ever.

A while ago, I saw this in low resolution on YouTube and promptly made a very personal video using an HD up-convert of that and with a great Sri Lankan song for the soundtrack. If you would like to see it, please go here:

When you mix bee honey with 90% High Fructose Corn Syrup do not be surprised that the bees go missing the next year from the bee farm.

I like how you mention that we are part of nature and that we need to take care of it.
You also said: Everything wears out in the universe, i think this also is a cyclus that keeps on going. Nature itself is simply too strong to just wearout.

    amazing video!

Bats are so overlooked. Pollination and pest control from bats is worth $22.9 billion dollars a year in the US alone. But they are under threat from disease and human interference charles-harvey.co.uk/batting-away-pesticide-use/
