The classical Greco-Roman philosophical cardinal virtues included justice, fortitude, fidelity, and prudence. A Jesuit virtue ethicist, Rev. James F. Keenan includes self-care as a cardinal virtue, a virtue that all other virtues hinge upon. I agree with him.
