Young people in this project were involved in a series of creativity sessions including a trip to the Columbus Museum of Art (to look at the past) and to a professional photo studio to try out futuristic ideas such as flying with jet packs and virtual interactive learning while actually entering a film/hologram about the past or future. The paintings and photos created are being shaped into 4' x 8' weatherproof vinyl murals/banners that will cover boarded up windows in our neighborhood. Our hope is that this vision of beauty and possibility will inspire adults and other young people to start to see the beauty and potential for the future of our neighborhood.
Check out the panel of young experts at about 2 1/2 minutes into the video to hear their opinions about how our neighborhood and Neighborhood House, Inc. will change 100 years from now.
Special thanks to Kiwanis Columbus and the City of Columbus for support of this mural project.
