Nice!!! Hey what's the work flow exactly with this cam and FCP?

Converted the Quicktime camera clips from H.264 to AppleRes422
    Edited in FCP
Sent to Color for color correction
Sent back to FCP to output in Quicktime H264 with Vimeo settings.
Ther final video has a lot more banding than the original files.

I noticed that the original conversion from H264 to AppleRes422 produced some clipping (open both files in Color with Broadcast Safe Off to verify it). I need to investigate how to avoid this but with H264 files it was hard to edit in FCP because it required rendering every clip.
I'm new to FCP and there may be better ways to do this.

Ouch rendering. Well I guess it's either wait real time for a tape to record its contents to the hard drive or wait for rendering. Thanks for sharing the info!

Great exercise, congratulations. Do you know if the 5D MII can use a 8Gb or 16Gb Flash Card? I am waiting for my camera and I am thinking to buy a 16GB Flash card to record more video (sorry for my english, I speak spanish)

Really nice! Love the b/w treatment, fit it well. Nice pacing and framing too, simple yet interesting.

Miguel, I'm using Sandisk II and IV 8Gb cards... I believe 16Gb work but I would refer you to the Canon specs

Thanks for the nice words... this is just part of a longer project documenting this team... I'm just trying to figure out the technical issues with the camera and the proper workflow with hardware and software.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful video and all the technical information, I can't believe it was shot with a DSL (24 frames?) The editing is amazing, this is art...

Just for giggles, try speeding it up 2x or 3x and throw the Benny Hill theme on there. Instant shift of tone :D

But seriously, this is a great video. For just testing, I'm still blown away by the quality. Good job!
