Shamrock Rovers got back to the task of winning league matches with their final journey of the year to Dalymount Park to meet rivals Bohs. In a display of superior football that left Bohs looking like a bottom-of-the-table side the Hoops created a multitude of chances, but as is typical for teams in a derby it wasn't until the second half that Rovers finally scored the goal that would win it for them.
