Dr. Joke Bradt, an associate professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University and a board-certified music therapist, discusses ways people with cancer and their caregivers can use music to ease anxiety and cope with cancer diagnosis and treatment.

In August 2011, Bradt was the lead author of a Cochrane systematic review which found that using music reduced anxiety in cancer patients and also showed benefits for mood, pain, and quality of life.
